Adam R., the founder and hands-on owner of Great Green Gardening Services, planted his first tomato at age ten—and never looked back.

As a teenager, he transformed his parents’ front yard into a thriving vegetable garden. By high school, he was volunteering at the Strybing Arboretum in San Francisco, helping propagate plants under the guidance of experts like Dr. Don Mahoney.

Since then, Adam has combined his lifelong passion with formal education in horticulture, landscape design, and architecture—studying at Butte College, City College of San Francisco, and currently expanding his knowledge at West Valley College.

Today, he blends artistic vision with technical know-how to design and maintain outdoor spaces that are not only beautiful but also rooted in science and sustainability.
